- holds all the equipment needed to jack the pole sections together by supporting the cylinders on one end and the engine/hydraulic pump on the other
- lifted into place using a crane
- adjustable arms accommodate poles from 12”-68” in diameter
- keeps Lineman safely away from the pole while in use
- Benefits of having the engine/hydraulic pump located in the box opposite from the cylinders:
- helps to counterbalance the weight of the cylinders on the arms
- removes the problems associated with the gasoline engine/hydraulic pump out of the man basket (the potential for fire, hot engine parts, exhaust fumes, hydraulic oil leaks or hydraulic oil fluid injected into skin under pressure)
